Beauty For Ashes...

"...beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." Isaiah 61:3

33 weeks

Here is a new picture of Tubby! :) Haven't taken one of these in a long while- but want to have it on record for Ezra one day.
He is still one active boy. I'm sure we're in for a treat! He was awake A LOT last night. I think he was excited about Easter like his parents. Chris and I have enjoyed watching him at night when I get in the bed. It's just so crazy to look at your belly and see it moving all on it's own. THEN seeing in one little spot it raise WAAAAY up. We just sit, marvel, and laugh quite a bit.
I have a friend here that is pregnant with her 10th child (not a typo) and I was hanging out with her the other night. She was saying that most babies gain at least a pound the last 4ish weeks. Her advice was for me to watch my carbs. Well, unfortunately, my latest (probably past 2 weeks) craving is toast with jam and homemade bread. Every time I walk past the jam section at the grocery- I begin to salivate for a piece of toast! I also eat cereal like it's going out of style. The thing is, cereal is SOOOO expensive here. I have broken down once and bought a $6.50 box of Raisin Bran, but only once because I was desperate! I search Nairobi for the expired cereals. You can usually get those really cheap. You talk about one EXCITED person when I find them. Last week I found frosted Mini Wheats and this week I found Honey bunches of Oats, Frosted Flakes, and something like cheerios. Weeeeeeee!!!!!
So... hope this whole carb- cut-down thing goes well for me...
