You guys know I can't go long without posting pics of the boys. We had an absolute blast with them this weekend. They were all so quiet on the ride back to the slum Sunday. But their bellies were full of pancakes and we continue to pray and work toward land to buy and build on for them. We got to show them that Friday. It was really cool. We have to cling to and remember that the Lord has big plans for them and is working in their lives. As these street boys continue to become saint boys, their land will one day be ready for them. In the Lords timing, just like this adoption...
We still haven't heard anything back from the USCIS about our "extension" for our resident visas. We have the receipt to provide for them. Both of our visas should be in our hands within the next 10 days. We have to have them before we go to Tanzania on the 18th. (Jessica, we are going to TZ on the 18th... just so you know. yea- we're staying 10 days. It's going to be great. Okay, done bragging.) :)
Alright, I'm going to do it. I'm going to run the Nairobi 1/2 Marathon again. It was such a great experience last year. It's been kinda hard for me to decide actually. Last year I went with Rich, Shauna and Sara. This year, i don't have anyone to look for as I run. Not that I was running it FOR anyone other than Run4Revolution and it's joining with IJM to kick child trafficking's butt. But Rich, Sara and I were a team. Team R4R fighting against child trafficking. This year, I can't look for Rich to keep my spirits up. He helped me get through my Rookie Run.
I want to though. I want to run in my R4R shirt, even if I'm the only one out there wearing one. I'll just miss my team mates, thats all.
yea for running the marathon again!! Proud of you already! Can we sponsor you since we can't be there cheering for you? Seriously . . . let me know. Miss you sooooooo much, friend. I think of you ALL the time.
