Beauty For Ashes...

"...beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." Isaiah 61:3

Tomorrow, Tomorrow I'll love you tomorrow it's only a day away...

Yep it's tomorrow gang.  I will drop Chris, Ryan, and Laura off in Kibera then make my way to LAN for our homestudy.  SWS AND Susan both called today (after a text msg, might I add) and told me I could pick it up in the MORNING b/c the verification letter came in today!!!  I screamed after I got off the phone.  In fact, we went to Thomas and Zippy's tonight to have Githeri (a mix of beans and corn) and Diana (their 12 yr old daughter) said she had seen me in Karen driving.  I remember I was close to where she gets on the matatu when I got the call in the car (which btw, it is against the law to talk on the phone while driving but SWS NEVER CALLS so I had to) and I said "Diana- did you happen to hear me?"  She said "yes- why were you screaming?" I told her today was a good day!  CT didn't want me to post this until after it was in my hands, but I'm 100% sure they will be handing it over to this mama tomorrow.  Else they might see my wrath breaketh loose!  So I will be able to send all the grant applications home to my family to send off.
I'm seriously on a high today!  Plus Laura treated me to a hairdo!  She paid for us both to get our hair braided in Kibera.  The ladies who did it were super sweet.  I gotta tell you though, I'm in some serious pain.  My whole head is throbbing!  I was hoping to get some tips for doing our little ones hair.  I'm pretty sure I could do this, but it's just SO painful!  I don't know if I could do this to our child.  We might be choosing the all natural AFRO.  :)
Thanks for your prayers!
