He is a wonderful father
He is always burning his light late into the night
He is working hard to provide for his family
He is teaching me of love, family, diligence, and determination
He has been the one I've looked up to longer than anyone else
He has known me the longest and seen me cry the most
He has shown me a love I never knew he had for me and my family recently.
He has run himself ragged in search of certain papers for the adoption.
He has spent countless dollars on phone calls to Kenya to make sure he has things "right"
He has stressed over deadlines and time crunches
He has NEVER made me feel like I owe him anything; in fact he says "I'm so glad to do it"
He has not complained a single time
He has never desired accolades
As his love for our future children reverberates in his sacrifices... we are humbled.
With tears in my eyes and a smile on my face I can't help but Thank my God every time I remember him.
He is my brother and my best bud.
None of this would be happening right now if it weren't for all his many acts of service and self sacrifice.
Awh, you do have an extraordinary big brother! I'm so thankful that Neil calls him "friend".
ReplyDeleteWOW! I was brought to tears just reading the dedication your brother has to you and the appreciation and love you have for him! I hope my kiddos are that close to each other when they are adults. Good Post Lindy!
ReplyDeleteGEEEZ. Where did that come from? :) I was just hopping on to see whats goin on, next thing you know I have a Matt Rollins shrine post! Thanks, and it's really not as hard as you make it seem, we enjoy it. I love you.
ReplyDeleteI love him too! He is all those things and more..thanks for sharing him with me :-)!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat tenderness. Oh, I pray one day that my girls will say that about their brothers! That is, if he ever stops biting them and punching them in the head. Surely that will stop before he becomes a father himself...won't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement on my blog!!!
